Helping life science companies understand the power of linking data assets to improve the lives of patients
Early on in my career, I realized that I had a passion for leveraging technology to turn data into knowledge. Starting as an analyst in the managed care industry, sifting through various prescription, medical and hospital claims data to identify outliers, thoroughly intrigued me. A few years later, my curiosity brought me deeper into more technical roles outside of, and eventually back to, managed care.
When my career path lead me back to managed care, my work included programming, designing and presenting longitudinal patient level data studies to clients within the life sciences space. It was at this point in my career, that I truly began to hone in on what intrigued me personally and what was the most challenging data space within life sciences…oncology.
I held various roles including serving as a strategic data and analytics partner to companies and clients, spinning up a new oncology business and analytics unit for a Japan-based life sciences company, focusing in on bringing new and improved oncology immunotherapy drugs to market, and leading a global data warehousing initiative to streamline analytics.
My data expertise includes: consumer, sell-in, specialty pharmacy, group purchasing organizations, contracting, reimbursement, incentive compensation, vaccine, medical, prescription and hospital claims, laboratory and biomarkers, electronic medical records, physician and longitudinal patient-level data.
I have had the privilege to work with and for some of the most prominent companies in the healthcare and life sciences space, not to mention some amazing human beings!
The beauty of data is that it truly tells a story. If we can leverage existing and emerging sources, we can better understand, potentially prevent and certainly bring more effective treatments to the forefront of healthcare. All with the intention of keeping our loved ones with us for as long as possible.
