Dr. Myerholtz started his career in Chemistry as an undergraduate at Purdue University in Indiana. He entered the world of Mass Spectrometry as graduate student working under Professor Chris Enke during the early evolution of TQMS, earning his Doctorate from Michigan State University. He joined the Corporate Research Center for Hewlett-Packard/Agilent where he led programs spanning Mass Spectrometry, Optical Spectroscopy, NMR, Atomic Force Microscopy, DNA sequencing, sensor systems, silicon MEMS and laboratory automation.

During his tenure in Corporate Research he was an inventor on 23 patents and pioneered Agilent’s TOF program. His current role is leading the hardware development for Agilent’s family of Time-of-Flight Mass Spectrometry products in Santa Clara California.
