Daniel has three years of tenure as the Director of UX for Sumo Logic, the leading platform of continuous intelligence for data analytics on the cloud.
Prior to Sumo Logic, he had 18 years of industry experience ranging from software engineering, product design, and customer experience. He has led organizations towards end-to-end customer experience solutions. Daniel has helped companies of all sizes and maturities, from small startups to the Fortune 10, including Walmart, LG, Sephora, and Verizon. He is the winner of a CES Innovation Award in "Better World," the author of pending patents, and design strategist of many successful innovative 1.0 experiences for both enterprise and consumer products. Daniel attended the Academy of Art San Francisco, where he pursued a BFA and developed a passion for sculpting. Although the worlds of software and fine arts might seem far from each other, the core of what drives Daniel is the ability to emotionally connect with humans. We aim to build something meaningful for other humans in both cases and try to measure its success. For software, it starts heavier on function and moves towards form. In art, it starts with form and moves towards function. When Daniel is not obsessing over ways to measure a customer's ultimate experience, he can be found with his wife, two children, pet dog Koa, and pet ball python Ali. He renews his mind via reading, meditation, sculpting, and wine tasting. |
