Jeffrey S. Garwood is at the forefront of Cloud Application Services and brings his technology, business transformation, and business value skills to help customers maximize the investment and impact of their initiatives.
His 25+ year career managing and driving award winning technology teams has spanned the Semiconductor Industry, Department of Defense, Healthcare, Database and Integration Technology, and Cloud Applications.
Jeff is Director Platform Solution Engineering Architecture and Strategy – North American Financial Services for Salesforce.com, rated by Forbes as one of the most innovative companies for 6 years in a row. He drives Cloud strategy for customer custom applications, IoT processing, and transformative approaches to innovation initiatives. He has worked with many of the top 50 customers across multiple verticals with a large focus on Financial Services in Banking, Wealth Management, Insurance, and Trading.
His career has included a wide-ranging set of technologies including: robotics, neural net processing, silicon-on-sapphire custom integrated circuit development, night vision, radar, target detection, RFID, CRM systems, data warehousing, data integration, Microsoft and Oracle Database architectures including in-memory, Oracle Exadata, and big data processing environments. He is currently at the forefront of IoT processing and applications at Salesforce and developed a framework to help clients map their IoT value chain to identify potential business opportunities.
Jeff brings his project management PMP and TOGAF architectural understanding as well as his Electrical Engineering and Management Masters to drive practical, achievable solutions that drive real business value. Jeff has also done nearly every job imaginable as he grew up and draws from those real-world experiences working farms, electrician, mover, construction, landscaping, tree climbing, sales and many others to help customers and clients achieve success.
Jeff most recently presented on the impact and potential of IoT on business transformation to YPO and as a Columbia University guest lecturer.
He served on the Board for the Project Management Institute IT Community of interest and its Publication for a 16K member special interest group within PMI.
Jeff has a wide number of hobbies including writing, hiking, most recently to include 3D printing. He has collected rare amber from NJ and other minerals and fossils and enjoys the outdoors.
