Tim Crader Joined Hitachi Consulting in 2017 as VP of Energy Solutions and has overall responsibility for the Commercial Business of the Energy and Environmental Solutions Practice.

Tim has over 30 years of experience in the Energy Sector, which includes leadership roles at Eversource Energy and Con Edison Solutions – focused on the delivery and  efficient use of energy for large C&I customers. Tim was recruited by the General Electric Company (NYSE:GE) as part of their Digital Energy start up business and ultimately held the position of Sales Leader focused on the critical facilities service segment. After many years at GE, Tim joined the firm of EYP Mission Critical Facilities – a global Engineering Design Practice as Vice President of Global Sales. In 2008, Hewlett-Packard Company (NYSE: HPQ) acquired EYP MCF. After the successful completion of that acquisition, Tim again joined GE to help lead sales growth and strategy within their Smart Grid Business. Most recently, Tim was VP of Sales, North America for Trilliant Networks, where he led a team focused on expanding market share with major IOU Utilities and Smart City (Municipal) Customers.

Tim completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Connecticut and then earned his MBA from Sacred Heart University.  In 2007, after successfully defending his dissertation “Core Selling Teams and Their Impact on Customer Satisfaction” he was awarded a Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) from the University of Phoenix Arizona, School of Advanced Studies and is published in several peer reviewed journals focused on organizational dynamics and team selling.

Tim, who is a Connecticut native, is married (Jackie) and has a daughter (Nicole) and in his spare time – plays bass guitar for a local classic rock band “Sneaky Pete” or can be found boating on Long Island Sound.
